WSSS provides services to the senior citizen population in areas of Chicago, Illinois. Our services have grown over the years and include an array of community-based programs. This year we are helping over 9,000 different senior citizens and their families. While the majority of services are provided in senior citizen’s homes, the agency also operates sites in Bellwood, LaGrange and Forest Park, Illinois as well as a congregate lunch program in Hodgkins, Illinois. In addition, our staff routinely works with senior citizens in area hospitals, nursing homes and retirement communities. The services WSSS provides include Adult Day Health Care, Caregiver Support, Case Management, Chore/Housekeeping, Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals, Emergency Food, Friendly Visiting, Geriatric Mental Health, Health Screens, Information & Assistance, LGBT Seniors Program, Senior Centers, Telephone Reassurance, Transportation Services, and senior volunteer opportunities.
