Unity in the Family Ministry in conjunction with Learning Street Child Care Center which is located in Central Brevard will be sponsoring its Second Annual Angel Tree, a Prison Fellowship Program. Over the past thirteen years, Unity In The Family Ministry has had great success in Escambia County and we would like to duplicate this wonderful charity event in Brevard County. For many children across the U.S. Christmas is a time filled with feelings of abandonment, loneliness and shame that come from having incarcerated parent(s). The Angel Tree Program reaches out to the children and families of the incarcerated with love. This unique program ensures that not only are these children provided with gifts during this season; it also affords the opportunity to show these families that society has not forgotten them. 

We need your support this year to make this event a success. The Prison Fellowship Ministry provides our organization with the names of children whose parents are incarcerated in the state and federal penal institutions. The names and list of suggested gifts given by the inmates are then given to individuals and organizations such as yourself to aid in making a Christmas wish come true. Once the angel has been selected the patrons will return all unwrapped gifts to Learning Street Child Care Center. Learning Street Child Care Center is located at 1108 Peachtree Street Cocoa, FL 32922.  

You can also donate in alternate ways; you may assist in the form of an Angel Tree inside your organization, a financial donation, food items for the dinner provided, as well as volunteer for the day of the event. The dinner will be held at the Cocoa Civic Center on December 17, 2017 where the gifts will be presented to the children. Please be made aware that you may donate as an organization or an individual. No donation is too small. Please note: Unity in the Family Ministry has 501(c)(3) non-profit status, so all donations are fully tax deductible.
