ABOUT PATRICK TAYLOR

 “Never say die” was Pat’s motto.  While Pat is remembered as a firefighter, veteran, father and husband the word that best describes him is “hero.”  Patrick transformed his Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis into a Greater Purpose Project of helping others.  After he was diagnosed he began rigorously training in his wheelchair for the Paralympics (some 15 miles at a time).  During his wheelchair "rolls" Patrick would make the rounds to local charity drives and donate whatever items he could carry on his lap.  We lost our hero on January 25, 2015 but that’s not where Pat’s story ends. Pat inspired The Greater Purpose Project and his legacy will live on in everyone whose life is touched by his story.

ABOUT THE MS FOUNDATION

The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation provides a comprehensive approach to helping people with MS maintain their health and well-being.  We offer programming and support to keep them self-sufficient and their homes safe, while our educational programs heighten public awareness and promote understanding about the disease.  Our resources assist people who have MS, their families, caregivers, regional support groups, and healthcare professionals.

ABOUT THE GREATER PURPOSE PROJECT

GPP's mission is to inspire people of all ages, races and circumstances to discover their "Greater Purpose" while exploring how their talents can be of service to their local and global communities.  Additionally, GPP helps to create service projects and raise awareness for other non-profits and causes.  GPP is achieving its mission through its School Heroes Tour, documentary and as a positive news outlet.
