The Gem City Initiative
The Gem City Initiative exists to rebrand the city of Dayton, Ohio and its surrounding communities with the love of Jesus Christ. Our aim is to solve the city's biggest problems, from drug and sex trafficking to childhood hunger.
Fueled by the people of Living Word Church, the Gem City Initiative is a comprehensive effort to return Dayton, Ohio to its original form of the Gem City. For decades, this city has been assaulted by industry departure, which has led to socio-economic depression, including rampant drug abuse, sex trafficking, poverty and childhood hunger. We have a mission in our heart to see Jesus move into this city, not only transforming lives but in the process, returning a once incredible city back to its former glory.
