Hepatitis C affects over 170 million people worldwide and is 3-5 times as prevalent as HIV/AIDS. In fact, as of 2007, hep C deaths in the U.S. surpassed HIV/AIDS deaths.  It is the major cause of liver cancer and liver transplants, yet there is no national concerted effort to raise money for research.  We aim to fill that void by raising awareness of hep C and directing raised funds to promising research for a tolerable and effective cure.  

We are particularly interested in supporting research on 1. non-interferon based treatments 2. non-invasive diagnostics and 3. methods to reduce side effects of existing treatments.
