Street children are one of the most vulnerable populations in the world. CROSO is dedicated to supporting this group of young people to escape the cycle of poverty that traps so many of their families.

CROSO Scholars have been supported by C.R.O., a non-governmental group in Uganda that supports children to get off the streets. C.R.O. is able to provide for them during their primary and secondary school years, but has no funding beyond that. For bright young men and women, it is heartbreaking to know that they have been accepted to universities, colleges and technical schools, but don't have the finances to attend.

That's where CROSO comes in!

CROSO provides funding for tuition, housing, food, transportation, books, internship fees and a laptop for each scholar. Each scholar is also paired with a mentor in the U.S. who exchanges emails with the scholar on a monthly basis providing encouragement, support and advice as the scholar navigates his/her post-secondary school experience.
