We seek to provide scholarship dollars to those dancers ages 12 to 18 years that otherwise would be significantly impeded financially (up to 100%) to pursue their life goals and dreams without additional financial support. Additionally, each year members of the Berkshire Ballet Theatre (BBT) graduate from this pre­-professional dance company seeking to continue their dance by either attending college (majoring in dance) or auditioning to become a professional dancer. 

This has happened repeatedly over the last 15 years of the existence of the BBT. 

That said, to a dancer positioned to even “dream” of continuing their dance goals beyond high school places a significant burden financially on both the dancer themselves as well as their family. Dance classes, dance seminars, and dance apparel including pointe shoes can be very expensive especially as these dedicated dance artists spend more and more time in dance classes to develop their dance skills.
