Batten disease is a rare and cruel brain disorder primarily affecting children.  It causes mental impairment, seizures, and loss of sight, speech and motor skills, eventually leading to death.  Currently there is no treatment, there is no cure….it is always fatal.

Batten Disease Support and Research Association (BDSRA) is an international organization dedicating to supporting families affected by this disease around the world.  We provide the much needed resources to fund critical research, medical referrals, information, equipment, education and emotional support for the families.
