Avenue J Studios is a non-profit youth performing arts studio in North Aurora, Illinois.  The performing arts and theatre community has long been known for its warm and welcoming nature, providing a safe and nurturing environment for youth of all ages, demographics, and abilities to explore and create.  The Avenue J family is proud to include many youth on the autism spectrum, with learning disabilities, and with social/emotional struggles who consider the studio “home.”  At Avenue J Studios, the focus is on building self-esteem and confidence in every student while promoting social responsibility and awareness. 

Since opening its doors in 2014, the studio has experienced tremendous growth and opportunity.  In order to meet the growing needs of the talented students and to continue providing quality classes, camps, lessons, and performance opportunities, Avenue J Studios will need to purchase equipment, improve the studio space, and raise money to license productions.

Avenue J’s Junior Advisory Board brings together a select group of talented students between grades 5 and 12, all of whom share a dedication to leadership, community, performing arts, and Avenue J Studios.  JAB was founded with the idea of bringing bright young minds together to provide valuable input and perspective to Avenue J Studios and to provide inspiration to area youth to become involved in the community and to help others.

Avenue J is committed to developing and inspiring youth leadership both within Avenue J and the community.  All members of the junior advisory board organize and execute ideas to inspire their peers to get involved in Avenue J and the community.  JAB members will meet monthly to create, plan, coordinate, and participate in events and activities that help the studio grow and the community thrive.
